As part of our HPU Media Lab Spring 2025 Bookbinding Series, dive into the fascinating world of bookbinding with our introductory workshop, designed for beginners and enthusiasts alike. This session will explore the rich history and development of book structures, tracing the journey from ancient scrolls and tablets to the sophisticated codex. Participants will gain hands-on experience by creating their own simple pamphlet stitch notebook, a perfect start to your bookbinding journey. This workshop is an excellent opportunity for students, faculty, and staff to engage with the traditional art of bookbinding, understand its historical context, and leave with a unique, handcrafted notebook. No prior experience is necessary, and all materials will be provided.
